The Monday Club - with Dave Rock
Embracing all parts of ourselves when we write.
Time & Location
23 May, 19:30 – 21:30 BST
About the Event
There's no such thing as writer's block.
Each of us could write non-stop our entire lives and only scratch the surface of possible expression.
When we become willing to show up, hold space for what wants to come through, write the things we think we shouldn't write, welcome all parts of ourselves in the flow, we can access infinite inspiration.
Inspiration is a muscle, and gets strong the same way all muscles do, through balancing use and rest.
Everything you struggle with or reject about your writing experience and output is a gift in disguise.
This session will playfully explore how to embrace and express those gifts.
It will go deep, but stay light-hearted as it does.
Dave Rock is an award-winning spoken word artist, and storyteller.
His poetry and writings on conscious creativity and healing have a passionate following around the world. He's taught thousands of people, from CEOs and clowns to asylum seekers and rites-of-passage teens, to liberate their own soul’s creative flow. His workshops playfully liberate our relationship to living our gifts, using shadow-work, embodiment, flow hacks and lots of love and laughs. He’s co-led with stellar teachers like Jamie Catto, Brooke McNamara and others. He was voted one of the best teachers on the Online Embodiment Conference, out of a field of many of the world’s best. He also coaches authors on fully finding their voice and message, and taking their writing craft and flow to the next level. On any given day, he still has no idea what he’s doing, and everything he teaches is an attempt to navigate his own daftness and excess of ideas.
"The Monday Club was an amazing experience! It became almost a habit to meet both new and familiar people in a cozy friendly circle. Facilitators were super interesting people, who softly and skilfully helped me to find something new about myself. And it was fun as well! Nora is the most joyful and caring person, who goes far and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend this experience! " Svetlana B.
